Alternative-Text description: The "Disabled Angel" illustration
Here's another picture of the "disabled Angel" described on this page.

This is one of our favorite illustrations here at BarrierFreeChoices.

It depicts a cherub-type angel (sort of like a little chubby
toddler with wings and a diaper) limping along on a crutch, making his way down the road. One of the Angel's arms is in a sling; one of his feet is wrapped in bandages; one of his eyes is bruised; his hair is messy; his wings are a bit crumpled; and he generally looks somewhat "lumpy."

This little Angel looks like he's just gotten into an auto accident, or perhaps been involved in a serious street fight.

And no, we don't actually think that Angels ever have auto accidents or get themselves involved in street fights.

But people do. Every day ...

Auto accidents and street fights are only two examples among the multitude of ways that some of us humans have managed to get ourselves "disabled."

And this little Angel is one of the few "disability" images you'll ever find on any of the BarrierFreeChoices websites.

Because we're really not about "being disabled."

Barrier Free Choices is about "living your best life despite whatever 'disabilities' you might happen to have."

So before you go, please explore the other sections of our sites. You'll find a wealth of information, new ideas, and resources that will help you live your best life.

And if you have friends with disabilities, please tell them about BarrierFreeChoices. We provide usable consumer information for disabled Americans. We're all over America ... and in YOUR neighborhood.
